gILSTON ROAD
This building was the former residence of designer Tom Ford. The project consists of the careful intervention to provide a new sauna and utility space at lower ground floor, dumbwaiter and dining room at ground floor, and ensuite bathroom at first floor.
The conservation, and improvement of the original building and the retention of finishes installed during Tom Ford's residence was an important element of the works. The building was re-serviced with a new electrical and plumbing installation, so existing finishes were carefully removed, recorded and reinstated.
In addition to the internal work and improved the external parts of the building were also upgraded. The whole building was re rendered with lime based render and a breathable paint system, and the surrounding garden spaces re-andscaped.
